District 14 Enduro / Family Enduro Message Board

For various reasons, the U.P. Sandstormers are considering moving the date of the Loose Moose / Mini Moose enduro from the currently scheduled date of June 12-13, to Memorial Day weekend, May 29 - 30.

This poll is being used to help provide the club with information on what weekend the majority of D14 & FES riders prefer for this event. This includes both the Mini Moose on Saturday and the Loose Moose on Sunday.

Please vote only if you plan on riding either one of these events.

I hope they keep the race in June. It is already a long drive for most people. I do not want to fight the holiday traffic in a motorhome all the way up there...

The Memorial Day weekend would make it easier to get kids back for school on Tuesday versus a long drive back on Sunday to make school on Monday. School is still going on till the 15th of June.

any date except memorial weekend. most of us are very busy racing, riding and working. let us have the holiday weekends free, this allows some people to enjoy them away from the bikes, and we can do "normal" activities, with friends and family, to attend some of the gatherings we miss out on during the summer because we are racing other weekends.

plus.. the holidy traffic would be a disaster...

Either date works - kinda/sorta

If May 29/30 is selected FMF will probably opt out because it is a holiday weekend.
If June 12/13 is selected Mike will not make the trip because school finals are the following week - June: 16/17/18.

IMO I don't think traffic will be much of an issue if May 29/30 is selected considering when we will travel the highways to get to the UP from SE Mich.

May 29/30 would work best for our family - Dad, you don't know it yet; but, you are going should the Sandstormers choose May 29/30, that way we can all ride Moss Lake on Monday and then head home. All things considered it's best.

The UP Sandstormers have decided to stick with the original dates for their enduros:

June 12 - Mini Moose
June 13 - Loose Moose
